We are off

Today I really started to get planting in earnest.

Outdoors

Radish Got some radish seeds in. Let's see if they get going - usually pretty easy to grow

Indoors

Sweetcorn - last of the packet (or two packets) let's see how they do this year.

Courgettes. I though l needed some seeds. But turned out I had 4 left in this packet.

French climbing beans

Jalapenos

Patio Sizzle

Cayenne Peppers

Aubergines

Artichokes - I'm determined to grow this year after 3 years of trying in pots.

Other

Barbie I also sprayed down the barbie plant for bugs. Hopefully that will sort it out.

Divided the Aloe Vera plant into three. Hopefully that will survive!

27 October

A few shots from the garden. A few tomatoes still hanging in there, the asparagus  is doing ok, hopefully a crop to eat next year. Flowers on the aubergine, but that will be it.

Damp start

It was a damp start to the morning, lots of raindrops hanging around. Always nice to take a camera out and out and get some shots. The Brassicas of course never fail to deliver on that front. Water always beads on them.

Grey day

There is still plenty of life in the garden, but it's a dreary day. I stepped out for a bit between meetings

Raspberries are still fruiting

The courgette is on it's last legs

The Japonica is a pretty cool plant,  I like the flowers.

Beetroot is looking good, will roast some of this up this weekend I rekon.

Tomatoes in October

I can't believe that the Tomatoes are still growing. I think it's because they are under trees and protected. Being against a fence they are also out of a lot of the cold wind. Amazing that it's nearly November.

These big conifers may be creating a micro climate

Raspberries for breakfast fresh from the garden

These plants are only just really fruiting, so I need to plant a slightly earlier variety.
There is something lovely about having fresh fruit in the colder months. A proper taste of summer.

This plant is only one year old and its also in the shade. What a versatile plant raspberries are.

They are autumn varieties and very easy to look after. The birds don't seem to be interested either which is great!
